Nice tribute piece Tim. It's a shame that so many people will only remember Mr. Heston as the villain of Moore's agitprop piece. It's also good of you to remind people that "conservatives" were at least as interested in equal rights and civil rights for all, long before it was ever fashionable. Keep up the good work!

If it's happening, and I honestly don't doubt that there are some folx taking religious zeal *way* too far, then they need to be bounced out.

I got chased around the motorpool for three days running, by a terribly sincere evangelical, when I was pagan.

These days, I don't get much hassle, other than being the unit's religious weirdo, so I get sent to all the "prayer breakfasts" and the like.

Needless to say, John and I have been sitting here giggling our asses off.

i've always been anti-waste, not anti-hunting. i've always felt that if you're going to go hunting, you should use every single part of your kill possible. ::shrugs::

Nadalia, the biggest problem with your proposition is that hunt-kills aren't FDA inspected or approved; there are a lot of states that won't let you sell hunt-kills because they can't garuntee the quality, pest-, and disease-freeness of the meat. tis a bit silly, methinks, but i'm not sure there's anything we can do about it.

It's kewl that they were able to do that! So many foodbanks I know of only have the capability to storw non-perishable goods. I wounder if they could also work with local soup kitchens and homeless shelters, etc?
